World Darts Championship: 2026/27 dates confirmed for Alexandra Palace with Sunday final in Great Hall for first time | Darts News
The Paddy Power PDC World Championship dates have been confirmed for Friday December 11 to Sunday January 3 with a record 180,000 tickets on offer.
In a major change for this year the tournament will be held in Alexandra Palace’s Great Hall for the first time, which can accommodate over 5,200 spectators compared to the previous 3,200 limit.
Luke Littler went back-to-back in January when he defeated Gian van Veen in a one-sided final with the 19-year-old, who has already won the World Masters, UK Open, World Cup, World Matchplay and Premier League in 2026, ready to make it a hat-trick of wins.
For the first time in the event’s history, tickets for the tournament will be allocated through a Wimbledon-style ballot, which will take place in two stages.
PDCTV annual members receive an exclusive priority window, giving them an increased opportunity to secure tickets ahead of the general ballot opening.
The PDC annual members ballot then opens at 12pm on Tuesday September 1 until Monday September 7.
The general ballot opens at 12pm on Tuesday September 8 and closes at 11.59pm on Monday September 14.
The first round will be starting four days earlier than in 2025 with 128 players involved – live on Sky Sports.
There will also be the usual Christmas break between December 24-27 with the tournament concluding after New Year’s Eve.
Alexandra Palace has hosted the World Darts Championship since 2007.
